How to Access Family Counselling

If you feel you and your family could benefit from counselling and would like to access our services, please email the lead counsellor directly at koreen(at)ponokafcss.net and provide your contact information. If you do not have access to email, please call our office at 403-783-4462 and leave your contact information with the receptionist or message after hours.

The counsellor will then contact you to obtain the information they need and to schedule an appointment if appropriate.

Koreen Naughler

Our Lead Therapist, Koreen Naughler, holds a BSc in Behavioural Science and an MS in Marital and Family Therapy. She has been a member and Canadian Certified Counsellor in good standing with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) since 2004. She is also a Certified Autism Specialist.

She has been counselling for over 20 years and worked with individuals, couples and families. She uses a client-centered framework with a trauma-informed approach. Koreen specializes in the fundamentals of Family Systems Theory, utilizing various cognitive therapies with elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as Narrative and Experiential therapy modalities. Teri Boyce, our child counsellor, has a Bachelor of Social Work degree and is a certified mediator. She is a member of the Alberta College of Social Work and has been a member in good standing for ten years. She brings 20 years of counselling experience and over 100 hours of training in play therapy techniques, which she uses regularly in her work with children (aged 3-18). Teri is currently working on her animal-assisted counselling certificate through the Pro EFW (Equine Facilitated Wellness) and Child Centered Animal Assisted Therapy Association.
