Cancer Fund of Ponoka FCSS
The Ponoka FCSS Cancer Fund utilizes financial gifts and bequests to reduce the financial burden occurring for persons who have a cancer diagnosis and are in treatment. The cancer fund is available to individuals and families who reside within the Ponoka FCSS Region (Town of Ponoka and East half of the County of Ponoka).
Ponoka Covered Wagon Handicapped Transportation Society (PCWHTS)
Ponoka Covered Wagon Handicapped Transportation Society (PCWHTS), also known as Ponoka Handi-Van Society, transports residents of the Town of Ponoka and the east half of the County of Ponoka who are otherwise unable to transport due to disabilities and/or barriers.
The vans offer area residents transportation services within the Town of Ponoka as well as outlying communities, with priority given to medical appointments.
Donations can also be made by cash or cheque:
- Cheques for FCSS funding donations can be made to Ponoka Family & Community Support Services (or Ponoka FCSS).
- Cheques for Handivan donations can be made to the Ponoka Wheelchair Van Society (or Ponoka Handivan).
In Person
You can drop your cash or cheque donation off at the Ponoka FCSS office at 5006 52nd Avenue from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Please note we are closed weekends and stat holidays.
Drop Box
We also have a drop box located on the outside of our building at the front entrance (to the right of the doors). Any donations can be put in this secure drop box after hours. It is checked every morning that the office is open.
