If you're interested in giving back to your community, Ponoka FCSS has a variety of volunteer opportunities available. Whether you would like to assist with events or help seniors, there's something for everyone. 

The following volunteer opportunities are available:

  • Friendly Visitors
     
  • Assist with Blood Donor Clinics
     
  • Fall Yard Clean-up
     
  • Assist with Income Tax Returns
  • Supply Tools for School
     
  • Community Garden
     
  • Assist with events hosted by Ponoka FCS
  • Assist Seniors in filling out forms for the Canada Pension Plan, Guaranteed Income Supplement, Alberta Seniors Benefit and Special Needs Assistance Program

A full information package is available that describes the mission statement for the Ponoka FCSS Volunteer Program, its goals and objectives and related policies and procedures on how to become a volunteer. The package also contains the forms that need to be completed when applying to become a Ponoka FCSS volunteer, including an application form, a confidentiality agreement, a criminal record check (no charge), a volunteer gift policy agreement, an insurance release form and two reference checks.
