COUNSELLING is a confidential process designed to help you address your concerns, come to a greater understanding of yourself, and learn effective personal and interpersonal coping strategies. Counselling involves sharing sensitive, personal, and private information that may at times be distressing.
There can be different reasons for your family to seek help. Whether you’re trying to make it through a life event such as divorce and loss, or you’re overwhelmed and experiencing intense emotions, help is here.
During counselling there may be periods of increased anxiety or confusion. The outcome of counselling is often positive; however, the level of satisfaction for any individual is not predictable. Your therapist is available to support you throughout the counselling process.
Additionally, however, the success of the counselling relationship depends on your willingness to be open and involved in the process. Individuals who participate in counselling can experience changes in personal views, attitudes, and coping skills. Sometimes those close to you may need time to adjust to the new perspectives and positive behavioural changes that may evolve during your counselling.
You can access the family counselling services offered by our professional Marital and Family Therapists and child counsellor. We also host counselling trainees under the close supervision of the Supervisor and Lead Therapist, Ms. Naugler. Our counselling program is designed to enhance and strengthen family life, develop coping skills and help people help themselves.
