As a community, it is important to come together to support one another, whether through social interactions or ensuring children have access to the resources they need.
Being able to connect not only removes loneliness but socializing also helps sharpen memory and cognitive skills and increases your sense of happiness and well-being. But it may not be so easy to form those connections and relationships. That is where Ponoka FCSS comes in. We are pleased to offer resources such as our community garden and Friendly Visitor programs, which provide a setting for you to get in touch with your community and potentially even form lasting friendships.
We also know that economic hardships may make it difficult for guardians to be able to purchase school supplies over other necessities. The Tools 4 School program provides a valuable resource for our community to access and gives students a better chance at succeeding in the classroom.
