Grant Funding for Community Groups

Ponoka FCSS strives to identify gaps in community services and address them. Therefore, community members can apply for funding as an organization. 

The Board of Directors considers a number of criteria prior to approval of a funding request. These criteria include, but are not limited to:

Does the request fit the FCSS mandate?

Does the request address a need in the community?

Have partnerships been developed?

Available Grants

Small Group Grants

Small Grant applications are intended for community groups located within the Town of Ponoka or East Half of Ponoka County (East of the 5th Meridian Road) requesting funds under $3,000.00. 

2024 Application for Up to $3,000

Large Group Grants

Large Grant applications are intended for community groups located within the Town of Ponoka or East Half of Ponoka County (East of the 5th Meridian Road) requesting funds over the $3,000.00. 

2024 Application for Over $3,000

School Based Grant

Schools in Ponoka and Ponoka County can apply for grant funding through the Ponoka FCSS School Based Grant.

School Based Grant Application

The Board of Directors reviews funding requests at their regular board meetings, which are held monthly except in July, August, and December. The funding request application must be submitted one month prior to the scheduled board meeting. Below are the two application forms. The short form can be used for funding requests totalling $3,000 and under, while the long form must be used to apply for sums over $3,000.
